Welcome to Texas Y’all! Exploring the Panhandle in an RV.

I made it to Texas!! Well, I didn't expect to be here so soon but the weather in Northern New Mexico was getting too cold for camping in my RV. As I left the Wolf Spirit Sanctuary I checked the weather. I was surprised to see 21F degrees! Why did I not realize New Mexico could get that frigid?! In that moment I came to the hard realization that I'd be in Texas weeks before planned. (Later I'll sorta regret that move.) Amarillo has always been on my mental bucket list to visit. Maybe it's the songs written about it. Maybe it was Cadillac Ranch. I'm not sure. But I found myself cruising into this Texas town very early in the morning. This is it. I'll spend the next month in Texas heading from way up north here to the Gulf of Mexico for Thanksgiving with a friend.

My First Big RV Trip to Texas!

Ladies and gentleman, I made it to Texas! The Texas Panhandle to be exact.

I discover cheaper gas, that I need a library card in Amarillo to use their WIFI and a beautiful, serene lake called Lake Meredith where I boondock for a few days.

Hey Amarillo!

I didn’t expect to be here so soon but the weather in Northern New Mexico was getting too cold for camping in my RV. As I left the Wolf Spirit Sanctuary I checked the weather. I was surprised to see 21F degrees! Why did I not realize New Mexico could get that frigid?! In that moment I came to the hard realization that I’d be in Texas weeks before planned. (Later I’ll sorta regret that move.)

Amarillo has always been on my mental bucket list to visit. Maybe it’s the songs written about it. Maybe it was Cadillac Ranch. I’m not sure. But I found myself cruising into this Texas town very early in the morning.

I’ll spend the next month in Texas heading from way up north here in the Panhandle to the Gulf of Mexico for Thanksgiving with a friend.

Thank You for Stopping By!
