AZT NOBO Miles 664-673
The Arizona Trail, aka AZT, is an 800 mile hiking trail from the Mexico border to the Utah border running through Arizona. I started to thru-hike it back in March 2020 yet jumped off 76 miles in at Kentucky Camp due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The day we got off trail sucked and all I kept thinking on our trail angel drive out was HOW and WHEN can I get back on this TRAIL!?

It was my first thru-hike attempt and like an addiction (but a good one, if that exists) I was HOOKED and wanted more.
Since then I’ve backpacked solo, hiked solo and also found my way back with one of my original AZT thru-hiking partners, Jan.

This is our little trek up in the Kaibab Forest just south of the GRAND CANYON.
It’s beautiful country up there (well, it is one of the United States southwest states so I guess “down there” would be more appropriate to most in the states) and BEAR TRACKS – thankful to see no bear.
We stayed in the area for 3 days basically car camping with our backpacking gear. We had a blast!
Thank you for watching and stay tuned for MORE!
Don’t forget that you’re never too old to follow your dreams!
