Part 2 Tombstone, AZ
Day 3 The Shootout at OK Corral
Check out RV Exploring Arizona : Boondocking in Tombstone before reading further
I planned on heading out on Day 2 to see the sights in Tombstone after everything opened yet the weather turned windy and gloomy. I decided to hang tight in the RV to get work done.
By the time day 3 rolled around I was ready to get outside!
Like stated in my last blog post, I don’t really do much touristy shopping but I will see a show. I had noticed there was an Gunfight at the O.K. Corral show in town, which was exactly what I was looking for.
Gunfighting and Comedy in Tombstone Arizona
I paid my $10 and headed into the theater area for the show. Before entering there are quite a few artifacts from the time era to see. I skipped these since I was a little late arriving, I wanted a good seat. Plus all the crowds were a little too much for this introvert.
The arena theater is quite small, some would say “intimate”. It’s bleacher seating and you’re quite close to the other spectators. I was fortunate to sit next to a a woman that seemed to get the same humor as I do, we were able to laugh together. That’s were I was headed – this is a funny, audience participation show. I love these, as long as I don’t get picked to get on stage. (Again, the introvert in me prefers to stay somewhat anonymous.)
There are 8 actors, all dressed in late 1800’s era style – 4 good guys and 4 bad guys representing the men involved in the 1881 shootout. As stated above it’s audience participation and we were instructed to “boo” the bad guys and cheer the good guys every time they enter the stage. The actors reacted comedically every time the audience performed their roll.
I’d go into detail but I don’t want to spoil the performance for anyone, well, you also know what happen, there was a gunfight and guys died. It was the classic good guys vs. bad guys and the good guys won.
I highly suggest taking anyone of any age to see the Gunfight O.K. Corral rendition done by these funny actors. And don’t forget to tip.

The rest of my stay in Tombstone is not much to write home (or blog) about. I hung out, took walks and just enjoyed my time relaxing.
