7.12.22 Grand Teton National Park
I’m going to start this post with these fine words about Grand Teton National Park :
GRAND TETON is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!
This park is why I’m glad I made the decision to live in an RV and travel.
Words cannot begin to describe the unexpected beauty I experienced as I approached the Grand Tetons.
If you have not been and love national parks, you need to visit Grand Teton.
Ok, with that said let’s talk about MOOSE!
Hiking Jenny Lake in Grand Teton
I love hiking, I just need to do it. Yet hiking solo in Grand Teton made me super nervous because grizzlies live there. I’m scared of grizzlies, which everyone should be.
So…choosing a popular trail along Jenny Lake was the best option for my nerves.
Strolling along the lake I begin to hear chatter coming from hikers traveling the opposite direction as me – “moose over there”, “did you see the moose?” and “I hope the moose is still there.” Ok, my interest is piqued. I worked up the nerve in my introvert self to ask someone mentioning moose as to where they were.
I found the side trail I was given and didn’t need to travel far before I found the small crowd of people stopped watching a mother and her baby moose grazing in a pond!
Boy! Are moose huge! I’ve seen them before, actually, I was followed by a family of moose in Colorado once, yet I never really had the opportunity to watch them. I sure as hell wasn’t going to stop as they followed me.
This was an chance to see moose from a respectable distance in nature and it was pure exhilaration!
The mother and baby seemed unphased by the crowd as they dove into the water coming up with loads of what looked like grass. Chopping away.
I sat and watched for about 30 minutes and moved on finishing up my hike near Jenny Lake.

Free Camping for My RV and Me Near Grand Teton
For the next 2 nights I stayed just outside the park up in the National Forest. The views were spectacular!
I’ll admit, I was a little worried about grizzly bear while camping yet I never saw or heard one although there are signs everywhere warning of them.
I explored a bit of the park yet nothing compared to the beauty of the moose and Jenny Lake. That is not to say that’s all Grand Teton has to offer. It just says I need to go back there some day and explore more.
Nature is beautiful, right? We are nature too! Every single soul on this earth has something beautifully positive about them, just like nature does.
What is something beautifully positive about you?
I’ll start. I love to smile. I can’t help myself. Throughout my travels, at this time 30,000 miles worth in my RV, I’ve learned that a smile really lightens the load when you meet strangers. The grocery store clerk, the person behind the camp counter, the park ranger, the tourist who speaks no English, the tired truck driver – they all seem to feel a little more comfortable when I smile at them. And vice versa, I’ve been smiled at and I felt like my load got a little lighter.
What is your super power? What is something positive about you?
