Amazing views ⛰⛰⛰

Steph, Candace and I couldn’t have picked a better day to start the Colorado Trail!!

We decided to hike NOBO (northbound) from section 5 down to 1 so we could zero or take a break near Denver for 4th of July. Starting at Kenosha Pass we headed straight into aspen trees and gorgeous flowers!

I have never seen such beautiful flowers in one place- including the dashing Columbine, Colorado’s state flower. I believe it’s my new favorite flower!

Cruisin’ slowly through the woods we wound up and down taking witness to amazing views!

The clouds moved in about 4 hours in and hailed on us. I carry a sun umbrella but it worked great in the hail.

We hiked 9 miles that day stopping near a stream. I enjoyed some Comfort Stew, hung our bear bags and I took a little swig of the whiskey Candace gifted me before heading off to bed.
